Lights on the Hill – A cause worth supporting
Lights on the Hill Trucking Memorial is a foundation which aims to help families and friends of deceased truck drivers wherever possible and be there for them to help with the difficulties faced after such tragedies.
In 2005 L.O.T.H built a memorial wall at Lake Apex Park to truck and coach drivers who have passed before their time. The wall provides a place to go to honour the memories of mates, fathers, sons, wives and daughters who are no longer with us. A convoy is also organized annually as a tribute to those we have lost.
Along with the Memorial and convoy, L.O.T.H founding member and organiser, Kathy White is hoping to facilitate counselling for those affected by tragedies on our roads, training and education for our younger drivers and a hall of fame set up for those who have provided great service behind the wheel in order for our country to grow and prosper.
The L.O.T.H team have found a house on a block of land that could accommodate the running and building of this great organization. As L.O.T.H is a non-profit organization, Kathy and the team need to raise funds of almost $400,000 if this initiative is to succeed.
The Chrome Shop is supporting L.O.T.H this Christmas by donating remote control trucks for their 2011 Christmas drive and 5% of all Christmas gift vouchers sold.
Help us help L.O.T.H this Christmas by buying gift Christmas gift vouchers from The Chrome Shop. Every dollar helps bring Kathy’s dream closer to fruition.
